Konnecting the Dots CIC began long before it officially became an organisation. For over seven years, I have been helping individuals facing homelessness and housing instability by offering practical support, guidance, and advocacy where possible.
My journey started simply. A close friend, Donna, volunteered at St Barnabas Church, where meals were provided for people experiencing homelessness. One evening, a woman shared her story — she was homeless, living in her sister's garage in Luton with her two children, travelling to London every day for two years.
I said to her, “I believe I can help you find a home.” She told me it would be impossible. I asked a few simple questions — borough, rooms, budget. The next day I arranged four viewings. Within two and a half weeks, she and her children had a home. She is still living there today.
“Sometimes the difference between someone staying stuck and someone moving forward is simply having someone willing to help konnect the dots.”

structured, community-led support addressing housing, employment, mental health, and advocacy.

I became involved with Konnecting the Dots after seeing Barbara’s passion and joining in the fundraising events. Through this, I have witnessed the real difficulties people face when they are trying to move out of homelessness.
Homelessness has no boundaries. It does not depend on colour, gender, or age, and it can happen to any one of us.
I believe we all have a responsibility to give a little time and care to listen, understand, and support people who are too often overlooked or dismissed. Many are living through situations beyond their control, and sometimes what they need most is simply a fair chance.
Konnecting the Dots exists to offer that chance, and I am honoured to be part of this journey.
